Nevada Clean Diesel Program
The Nevada Clean Diesel Program utilizes federal funds made available through the Diesel Emission Reduction Act (DERA) to support diesel emission reduction solutions in the state, including funding on-road heavyduty vehicle replacement projects with zero-emission alternatives.
FY23-24 funding is approximately $1 million.
Total rebate per replacement truck will be 45% of the purchase price of a heavy-duty ZEV.
Program is open/accepting applications on a first come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
Leased vehicles do not qualify for funding.
Replacing an operating diesel vehicle with restriction on Engine Model Year no is required to qualify.
Vehicle being replaced must be operational and in current, regular service. Applicant must have owned and operated vehicle for the previous two years. Existing vehicle must have at least three years of remaining life. Vehicle must have accumulated 7,000 miles per year on average during the two preceding calendar years. Equipment must operate within Nevada at least 75% of the time. If vehicle does not operate outside of Nevada, verification is not necessary.
