Montana Clean Truck, Bus & Airport Equipment Program
Montana’s Clean Truck, Bus & Airport Equipment Program aims to reduce mobile NOx emissions, improve air quality, and support investments in zero-emission transportation.
$3,700,00 in total funding available.
Grants of up to $500,000 per project, with maximum levels of cost share dependent on project costs. For Government-owned vehicles, the grant can cover up to 85% of Vehicle purchase price as well as installation of EV charging. If non-government-owned, the maximum share is 75% of program cost
January 31, 2025.
Letter(s) of Commitment from the applicant demonstrating assurance that project will operate primarily in Montana (for at least half of its operating time/mileage) for at least five years. Letter(s) of Commitment for match from the applicant and from additional project funding partners (if applicable), who will provide necessary matching funds for the project.
Replacement of diesel Class 4-8 trucks, buses, & airport ground support equipment. Eligible on-road trucks include Class 4-8 used for local freight or delivery. Vehicles eligible for replacement must be Engine Model Year 1992-2009.
